In our many, many years in business we’ve come to realize that our success has to do with relationships. We get to know our clients, their business, agency, or organization. We work to know their target audience.
It’s collaboration. Fair prices. Integrity. No surprises. Results.
We love the applause.
“...The end result is a beautiful video that has the highest of production values but also, and so importantly, has just the right feel. Consequently, every emotion we have meant to engender in our audiences we have achieved with their videos!”
Alison Bennie, Bowdoin College
Director of Communications Projects and Editor of Bowdoin Magazine
“...It’s a pleasure working with Barry Atwood and Pete Smith. And the prices are very reasonable always coming in at or under budget. Feel free to call me directly if you want to ask about Smith Atwood.”

“....Throughout the production process both of you demonstrated a commitment to quality, professionalism, and delivering on time. We are particularly grateful for all the extra effort you both spent listening to our comments as the project evolved.”

“...Reactions have been very positive....the moist eyes of the viewers tell the story. Our message is getting across with this one and we could not be more pleased.”

About Smith Atwood Video Services, Inc.
Smith Atwood Video Services, Inc. is a full service video production company that specializes in the production of high quality informational programs for corporations, government agencies, non-profits, schools, colleges, and producers. In addition, Smith Atwood does local and national TV news monitoring, commercials, legal depositions, duplications, and media training.
Both of the owners, Pete Smith and Barry Atwood, have been in the broadcast business since the early 70’s and have a wide range of experience. After working together for a number of years at the NBC affiliate in Portland, WCSH-TV, we decided to put our talents to work for ourselves. In 1983 Smith Atwood Video was formed and in the Spring of 1986 we went at it full time.
Since then we’ve had a remarkable array of clients.....Senator George Mitchell, CNN, Muskie School of Public Service, many state agencies including the Departments of Transportation, Mental Health, Labor, and Human Services, Maine Medical Center, the Maine Hospital Association, the Education Development Center, PROP (People’s Regional Opportunity Center), Southern Maine Library District, Camp Kieve, Bowdoin College, and many more.
We use high quality broadcast equipment for our productions and we edit using Final Cut Pro. We normally shoot in the Beta-SP format.
One of our clients has called us, “The best value in the market place.” In all humility, we agree! We’re professional and reliable. And as we’ve seen many other companies come and go, we really do believe we offer a great value. Call us or E-mail us if you have questions about us or if you’d like a quote on a project.
